Product Concepts
Cogicon is focused on very special products: technical lights and their „power stations“, the light engines.
The performance of a lighting device develops only if the lightengine, the lighting device and its peripherals match perfectly. To achieve this, the complex interaction of the LEDs, the optics, the cooling system, the electronics and the firmware/software must be attentively considered from scratch and optimized to the customer’s requirements. Performance data must be determined with the required accuracy and risks must be detected and bypassed before the actual product development starts.
Here we are the specialists. We perform pre-developments and deliver

- system architectures and concepts for assemblies and devices,
- analyses, calculations and simulations as well as
- the necessary documentation

Realization
Developing a technical system within the desired framework of product features, costs and dates is often a big challenge for a company. Especially in small companies, developers are often being named project managers but will then quickly reach their limits when it’s time to keep dates and timelines or to lead a project team.
On the other side, trained project managers are often not able to make fast and purposeful technical decisions or they put their emphasis on reporting and controlling and not on the actual development task. The roles of system engineers and product managers are often badly defined or they are missing at all.
